I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M DOING HERE | COMING SOON

Mima, the American granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, and her friend Jacob, embark on a road trip to rural Romania. Relying on Mima’s grandmother’s unmarked photographs of the area, the two friends hop fences, talk to locals, and scour records to investigate Mima’s lost family history.

ABOUT

Cove Films is an independent film production company founded by Jacob Pincus in 2018 that specializes in energizing independent cinema and new media. At its best, Cove Films produces cinema that connects artists and audiences closer to the world, each other, and themselves. Cove Films is not interested in making things we’ve seen before and is based in Los Angeles.

Cove Films is named after the basement that Pincus turned into his home studio where he made all of his first films in high school in Cleveland, Ohio. His family and friends called the basement the Ja-Cove after his first name. Pincus also always dreamed of moving out west to the water, which he did when we was 19 to attend the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Pincus dropped out of USC after two years to pursue independent filmmaking full time.
